There is no better feeling then what I experienced as I completed my first crocheted blanket, or finally finished all the tedious cutting of those quilt squares. I was able to take pride in my sense of accomplishment and say:"WOW! I made this". It helped my self esteem as a young teenager to hear compliments and comments such as; "You made this by yourself? It's beautiful! 

 

When my first daughter was old enough to hold a crochet hook, we went to work. I wanted her to have the same sense of accomplishment that I had. Not only does she enjoy making special crocheted scarfs and blankets etc., but the immense feeling of pride and accomplishment that she displays is obvious. It has helped her to see that she can make beautiful things and be proud of them.

Now, my younger daughter who is 10 years younger than her sister, is just as excited about crafts. She is helping me build a craft business and taking pride in her own skills. It has been very exciting for both of us. We spend quite a bit of time together in our "craft room" as we like to call it, where we professionally cut and press fabric and organize inventory, in order to give our customers the finest yarns, cross stitch kits, fabric, knitting and crochet supplies possible.
